Để không cho phép truy cập vào Control Panel và PC Settings trong Windows 8 bạn cần thay đổi trong Registry hoặc gpedit.msc ,Bấm tổ hợp phím Windows + R và gõ regedit , bấm OK để mở Registry EditorBạn tìm theo đường dẫn HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\ExplorerTrong phần bên phải sẽ thấy mục NoControlPanel đang để giá trị ngầm định là 1 và chỉ cần thay đổi về 0  Bạn cũng có thể dùng gpedit.mscTìm theo đường dẫn User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control PanelBấm đúp vào mục Prohibit access to Control Panel and PC settingsVà thiết lập giá trị là Enabled  Khởi động lại máy , mỗi khi bạn vào Control Panel sẽ thấy xuất hiện thông báo
